Oxygen posted The XX on their website and I decided to sing Rihanna’s Drunk On Love with it. It was a challenge dividing the lyrics not to mention the key is somewhat low. I still tried it though. So there. All you’ll hear is a monster or a cow. LOL!
I honestly don’t like Riri’s video for You Da One. It’s too much. It just so happen that when I pause the video, I captured my favorite line. Can’t do nothing but post it.
Rihanna ~ Fool In Love
Mama, I found a man
Who loves me and understands
Papa, he’s quite a man
He adores me, he’s my biggest man
And don’t get me wrong,
I know he’s not perfect in your eyes
But somehow he’s flawless in mine
This track showcases Riri’s vocals which is very seldom heard nowadays. It’s good to hear her sing without the help of auto-tune. I have this impression that this is her own mellow version of Britney Spears’ Criminal. The heavy strumming of the guitar on the latter part of this track gives that rock n’ roll sound. However, this does not stand out in the album as compared to Drunk On Love or “We Found Love”.
Coldplay ~ Princess of China (Feat. Rihanna)
I could’ve been a
princess, you’d be a king
Could have had a castle and wore a ring
But no
You
let me go
I never knew that it was Rihanna singing that girl verse. She sounded different (auto-tuned in the right way).
Before I went to bed last night, I promised to find that best Mylo Xyloto track and I guess this is it. Chris Martin’s courage to ask her for a collaboration paid off.
Rihanna|Cheers (Drink To That)
This video featured Avril Lavigne, Jay-Z, Kanye West and Cee Lo Green but I still don’t like it. The songs good to listen to though. My favorite from the album. Whatever. It’s freakin’ weekend! Let’s drink to that!
This is sick. Wadoyuthink?
Rihanna ~ Rehab
Baby, baby
When we first met
I never felt something so strong
You were like my lover
And my best friend
All wrapped into one
With a ribbon on it
Th first song I listened to this morning. If not because of a friend, I wouldn’t play to this. Of course I’ve heard this before and until now I’m still not impressed. There’s something in this track that I don’t like. I have no idea what that is. Maybe that “all wrapped into one with a ribbon on it” line!
Rihanna|S&M (Feat. Britney Spears)
The duo’s performance at the 2011 Billboard Music Awards. Omaygawd Britney will you never get tired of lip synching? At least Rihanna tried to do it live.
Rihanna|California King Bed
She looks so stunning in this video. Everything was toned down. I just wanna say this is awesome!
Shontelle ~ Impossible
I remember years ago
Someone told me
I should take caution
When it comes to love
I did
Shontelle shines on this track. When I heard this, I didn’t even recognize her. Her voice soared as she speaks of heartbreak and moving on from it. She did a great job in delivering the lines that would help those who are going through the same situation as the protagonist of the song. This song is my current addiction. She sings better than Rihanna, whatchathink?
